Associate Directors lead development and execution of MN’s various projects. While supervising the development of project specific design and technical solutions, Associate Directors have the capacity to provide technical and communications guidance to her/his colleagues, as well as the ability to manage complex projects independently, demonstrating a keen awareness of the client communications standards, scope of work, schedule, budget, and bureaucratic processes necessary to bring a project to completion. Additionally, Associate Directors participate in the firm’s business and growth development initiatives as strategized by the firm’s leadership teams.
Job Responsibilities

Oversee development of creative direction and design solutions for projects that they lead;

Capable of providing design and technical guidance to junior members of the team;

Able to take on unique assignments that require new or improved techniques;
-
Mentor junior staff and provide meaningful feedback to their work;
-
Manage multiple consultants to meet MN’s goals and quality standards;
-
Understand the firm’s business objectives for every project;
-
Meet project goals and deliverables for every phase of the project;
-
Manages project schedule and staff allocations in the firm’s management software.

Responsible for the accuracy of plans and specifications developed by the team;
-
Gather industry’s best practices and implement firmwide
-
Provide full support to project team through every phase;
-
Evaluate and solve problems as they arise;
-
Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects;
-
Manage client expectations through clear and timely communication;
-
Responsible for client satisfaction;
-
Act as a “brand ambassador” for the firm by promoting the firm’s mission and values to internal and external stakeholders;

Gather business intelligence about new projects and potential clients; cultivate relationships with developers, clients and “connectors” who can refer business to the firm;

Drive MN’s office culture quality and goals.

Requirements
-
Bachelor of Architecture
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Google Docs and Adobe CS
-
Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices
-
Uses advanced techniques
-
8+ years of experience in high-end residential and/or commercial projects
